‘Sequester’, Awoiska van der Molen

... a book exchange

For a year, Awoiska van der Molen selflessly protected a first edition of her well-honoured and perfect book, ‘Sequester’. One evening, at Paris Photo 2015, we perched in a discreet alcove in the Grand Palais, chaperoned by the larger-than-life Dragana Jurisic (‘YU: The Lost Country’), to perform, with some theatre and ceremony, an exchange of ‘Sequester’ for ‘Body of Work’, two veiled works passing in the dark.
